Introduction
Shahwilayat Public School was established in the year 1990 by the Shahwilayat Educational Trust with the purpose of providing quality education to children of lower and middle class income families. The school caters to over fifteen hundred students and subsidizes fees of 25% of the school population on need basis. The Trust is a “not for profit” organization.
Course of Studies
The School begins with the ECE programme and culminates at Matric/O levels.The first batch of Matric students sat examinations in 1996. To date the Matric result is 100% with maximum students securing A1 and A grades and very few B grades.The shift to AKUEB (Agha Khan University Examination Board) has taken place in 2005 and the School has maintained the same high standard as the previous years. Our results reflect the effort and hard work put in by teachers and students as well.
‘O’ levels was introduced in the year 2000. Bifurcation into Matric and O levels takes place at class VI. Students complete O levels in 10 years. The first batch of 14 students sat for exams in 2005. The results through the years have been 100% with significant increase in A grades.
Medium of Instruction
English is the medium of instruction. However, attaining proficiency in the national language is the object of teaching Urdu at all levels.
Faculty
The school faculty is one of the best in terms of subject knowledge and pedagogical skills. Their commitment to the cause of education and preparing students to meet the challenges of the future is commendable.
Premises
Shahwilayat Public School functions in custom made premises owned and maintained by the Trust. It accommodates over 1500 students with maximum 30 students housed in each large, airy classroom.
The school has a Basket Ball field, Throw Ball court and a well equipped Gymnasium.
